Chinese Becomes Oculist with Pity for Blind Sun Hui
In mid-1970s there was a child in a family of China, known to be clever and obedient to his parents and teachers.
The school and family got him study literature with the expectation that he would be able to be an illustrious man of literature with his good brain and calm character, but this literary wonder child turned to be an eye doctor surprisingly and his parents and teacher could not know the reason till their death why he had become an ophthalmologist.
One day during the stay of the Phibada Opera Troupe in China for the performance of the revolutionary opera The Flower Girl, an elderly Chinese came to meet the leading official of the troupe.
The man was the above literary wonder child and present ophthalmologist.
After congratulating the success of the performance, the ophthalmologist mused for a while and said with a look of deep emotion: I made myself an ophthalmologist after seeing the Korean feature film The Flower Girl. When I was young, I cried feeling pity for Sun Hui who lost her eyesight for the landlord and made up mind that I would become an eye doctor. True to my resolve, I made myself an ophthalmologist as you see. The Flower Girl has a great power inspiring the people to strive for the high idea and goal of life.
After all, he made a confession about the switchover of his initial goal after about thirty years.
