One wintry day in 1964, Chairman Kim Jong Il (1942-2011) asked an official about a solution of the traffic problem.
The official couldn’t think out a good idea offhand
He told the official to go together with him to seek counsel from mentors at 20 o’clock in the evening.
The official followed him wondering what he was meant.
In that evening, the Chairman has got a city bus with the official to listen to the citizens carefully and gave ear to the opinions of the bus repairmen.
Then he came back to his office with the official.
Till then, the official has not grasped the meaning of the Chairman’s word yet.
Next day in the early morning, the Chairman called the official again and gave him some counterplans to solve the traffic problem of the City.
The official was surprised to see the counterplans which synthesized the conversations with the citizens in the bus and opinions of the bus repairmen.
The Chairman told the official that the people whom he met last evening were the mentors he adores most, saying he just wrote down on the counterplans the mentors’ ideas.
