The women in the pictures are trolley bus drivers including Kwon Son Hui, Kim Kum Suk in Wonsan City, Kangwon Province.
It is not an easy job for the women in their thirties or forties to drive a heavy trolley bus.
They were always busy driving the buses for the people, their greatest trouble was a failure in fulfilling the role as a housewife and mother.
They had to go to work before their children awake and come home from their work after their family went to sleep as they were tired of waiting for them.
Many people, to say nothing of their family members, made much of their efforts and expressed respect and love for them.
To repay this love and respect, the women drivers continue as always their journey of carrying the passengers to and from work.
