As a Motherly Party Serving the People
The Workers’ Party of Korea has developed into an invincible party leading the cause of socialism along the road of victory, enjoying absolute trust and support of the people. The credit for this goes to Chairman Kim Jong Il with political idea of believing in the people as in heaven.
He fully embodied this political idea in the party work and activities for tens of years while leading the party so as to develop the WPK into a motherly party serving the people, becoming one with them.
He, who regarded the devoted service to the people as his lifelong mission, led the officials to become true servants of the people devotedly working for the good of the people.
He also saw to it that every line and policy reflected the will and demands of the people when they were shaped and implemented.
He made a long journey for on-the-spot guidance, finding himself among the people throughout his life. One day he told the officials that he felt toward the train as if it was his home and when he was kept in comfortable bed he could not get to sleep.
Even in December, 2011, the last moments of his life, he examined a document concerning the people’s living and breathed his last on a moving train.
The number of the units visited by him for the good of the people in his lifetime are more than 14 290. The distance of his journey for field guidance is counted by more than one million and hundred thousand ri.
Therefore, the Korean people are unanimously saying that there is only the people when all his lifelong exploits are added.
