On April 6, 2012, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un had a talk with the leading officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK).

He said, for the distinguished feats of Chairman Kim Jong Il who developed and enriched Kimilsungism in conformity with the requirements of the era and developing revolution our Party members and people have already called the revolutionary ideas of the leaders Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and recognized Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guiding idea of our Party, but Chairman Kim Jong Il who was boundlessly modest said that Kimjongilism is nothing but Kimilsungism and refused to allow the combination of the guiding idea of our Party with his august name.

He went on to say, today our Party and revolution require Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism to firmly be maintained as the eternal guiding idea, we should regard Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guidelines in conducting the party building and activities and thus hold fast to the revolutionary character of our Party and push ahead with the revolution and construction in accordance with the idea and intention of the leaders. He declared the modeling of the whole society after Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme program of the WPK.

The revolutionary idea of the WPK has since then shined along with the august names of the great leaders.
