Against Rainy Season
With the beginning of the rainy season, the Provincial Disaster Response Teams (PDRTs) of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) have started their work.
The PDRTs are strengthening their capacity to ensure promptness of command and control when natural disaster occurs and to cope with natural disasters smartly.
In close contact and coordination with the local government authorities, the county Red Cross branches have mobilized Red Cross volunteers to raise awareness of the community people on crisis response and to participate in disaster management activities organized by the local government authorities like the investigation and analyzing of disaster risks in the communities, the monitoring of high dangerous areas, etc.
