On High Alert
The National Disaster Response Team (NDRT) of the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) is concentrating its efforts on preparedness for the disastrous abnormal weather, staying on high alert.
Accepting the possibility of damages from high winds and heavy rain in the rainy season as an accomplished fact, they are increasing their capacity of damage prevention and disaster response in a practical manner, while keeping in close contact with the relevant government bodies.
Giving a priority to the establishment of scientific early warning system for flood and systematic reporting and monitoring system, they have scrupulously carried out different kinds of work for raising the community awareness of crisis response and removing in advance the dangerous spots and so on.
