With Awareness About Importance of First Aid (FA)
The 2nd Saturday of September every year is the World First Aid Day(WFAD).
WFAD is an important occasion when people properly recognize the importance of first aid (FA) and learn FA methods for saving people's lives.
This year as well, the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK RCS) conducted a variety of activities to disseminate FA knowledge among wider population on this occasion.
In particular, the national society attached great significance to FA activities for the youth and children – the future and the masters of the country – and conducted FA trainings and workshops for them.
The Red Cross branches throughout country also conducted various kinds of activities to refresh FA knowledge of RC volunteers running FA posts .
On the other hand, RC volunteers and youth members conducted promotion activities in various ways to disseminate basic FA knowledge indispensable to life-saving among wider population on the occasion of WFAD.
