WPK’s Founding Anniversary Celebrated with Splendour in DPRK
The 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea was celebrated with splendour all across the country.
A large stream of people visited the supreme sanctuary of Juche - the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and showed their respect to President
Kim Il Sung and ChairmanKim Jong Il who lie in state.
At the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun the visitors paid tribute with humble reverence to the peerless great men who built the WPK into a popular Party that commands absolute support and trust of the people.
Officials, working people, service personnel and youth and students visited mosaics depicting the images of President
Kim Il Sung and ChairmanKim Jong Il as well as their statues on Mansu Hill and other places across the country, laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers and paid tribute to them.
Many people visited the Party Founding Museum associated with the great history of the foundation of our Party.
National flag-raising ceremonies took place in different parts of the country.
Performances were given in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to celebrate the October holiday.
Public catering facilities across the country were crowded with bright-faced guests.
The Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum, the Rungna People’s Recreation Ground and other cultural and recreational facilities reverberated with endless laughter of working people and schoolchildren enjoying the holiday.
Night streets of the capital city were adorned with brilliant illumination to the delight of people appreciating the nocturnal view of the October holiday.
