A ceremony for opening the new school year took place at the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities on April 1.
Present there were Yun Chang Il, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, and children attending the centre and their parents, nurses, teachers and medical workers of the centre.
At the ceremony, Song Hyang Chun, director of the centre, made an address to be followed by speeches. Speakers noted that many successes had been made in the rehabilitation, upbringing and education of children with disabilities under the benevolent socialist policies.
The parents said that their children would grow up cheerfully and courageously, bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom free from worries in the future, too, thanks to the government’s policy of protecting the persons with disabilities.
Then, the participants looked round various places of the centre.
