The guerrillas thought lightly of cosmetics in the early period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle. Sometimes they found cosmetics in the trophies in battles, but they paid no attention to them.
General Kim Il Sung said one day in earnest to this effect: From now on everybody must stop to throw away the cosmetics. We have women in our ranks. They too belong to womanhood. They and the members of the Women’s Association are the best in the world.
