Japanese Past Crime of Destruction and Plunder
of Korean Cultural Assets (17)

Among the cultural assets Japanese imperialists plundered from Korea are ceramic wares made in various ages.
They resorted to all manner of evil ways and means for looting the ceramics. Their most vicious and gangster-like acts were the pillage of belongings buried together with the dead persons in the tombs of the ancestors the Korean forefathers so revered.
The Japanese grave robbery reduced the tombs of the Koryo time to ruins. And the number of items of looted Koryo ceramics amounted to millions.
A Japanese revealed: Majority of the Koryo ceramics came from the robbery of the tombs of Koryo dynasty. Rarely there were finds from some kiln sites and none of ceramics handed down from forefathers.
The books mentioning to the Koryo ceramics published during the Japanese rule revealed that all the Koryo ceramics were grave robbery.
