Officers Needed for Soldiers
Chairman Kim Jong Il visited one day an army unit defending the Height 351. On the day, he met two soldiers.
While acquainting himself with their hometowns, ages, families and life, he cared for their padded uniforms.
He felt the breast and sleeves of the clothes and patted the back of it too. Then he sized up the thickness. He said that padded cotton was so thin and they would surely feel very cold and the cold wind would penetrate through the sewing holes.

Since then thick military padded clothes and shoes modeled after the trial products inspected personally by him were mass-produced to supply to all the army men.
