Admiration of Delegation Members

One day in July 1985 President Kim Il Sung (1912-1994) met with a party delegation from a north European country on a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Giving high appreciation of their efforts for maintaining independence, the President said as revolution of each country is carried out by a political party of relevant country and although experience of other political parties is better, the political party should accept a thing helpful to itself but should not allow it, if it is not helpful.
He went on to say that when a foreigner offers a tasty cake one should take it if it suits one’s taste and if it does not suit to one’s taste one should not eat it, the food that does not suit to one’s taste may induce indigestion or one may fall a victim to disease.
His teaching bringing to light the importance of the adherence to independence in the revolution and construction struck the members of the delegation with admiration.
The President brightly indicated the path of the struggle of the political parties of the revolutionary countries with transparent independent stand. He was a great statesman in the era of independence and teacher of progressives, indeed.
